Make cultivating gratitude a priority by doing these things:
1) Say thank you, even when you don’t feel like it. For instance: I do this when I drop something, saying thank you while picking it up changes my vibration & usually makes me smile. It helps me remember to be grateful I am even able to bend over and use my hands! Ten years ago I was not able to & now I can!
2) Take 10 minutes to meditate. When your thoughts start to wander, acknowledge that fact and bring your focus back to your breath. Sometimes I sit in silence and sometimes if my mind is racing I will repeat RA MA DA SA while breathing in. Hold it until I repeat it again and then repeat once more while exhaling. Experiment and find what works for you.
3) Do 5 things different each day, for instance: Take a different way to work, light a candle, use your non dominate hand to brush your teeth.
4) Most importantly for me is saying thank you even before my feet hit the floor!
Remember whether we are conscious of it or not we are either reinforcing old neural pathways or making new healthy ones!
